Magazine Hails TDI’s KRISS®
Super V™
Weapons
Technology as One of the Top 100 Innovations of the Year
Unique
Design Incorporated Into New (Line of Firearms for
Military, Law
Enforcement and Civilian Use
After six years of
research-and-development, Transformational Defense Industries (TDI) is ready to bring what has been acknowledged
as “the first major technological breakthrough in weapons operating systems in
more than 120 years” to the U.S. firearms market.
Featuring TDI’s patented KRISS Super V System that virtually eliminates barrel elevation and dramatically
reduces felt recoil by more than 60 percent, TDI has developed a full family of
KRISS weapons for the civilian, military and law enforcement markets. The first
two products -- the KRISS Vector SMG™ .45 ACP and the semi-automatic Vector CRB/SO™ .45 ACP – will be available for purchase during
first quarter 2008 and its exciting MVS™ 12ga Shotgun set for release in Fall ‘08. All semi-automatic carbine
versions are ATF approved.
Already hailed
extensively within the weapons industry media as a major advance in firearms
design, the KRISS Super V system has also unquestionably captured the imagination of the mainstream technology media. The November 2007 edition of Popular
Science Magazine selected TDI’s KRISS Super V weapons operating system as
one of the top hundred innovations of the year (www.kriss-tdi.com/content/view/30/28/). As
the world’s leading periodi-cal that interprets scientific and technical
concepts for a mainstream audience, Popular Science recognized the KRISS
Super V system as a significant achievement in design and highlighted the real-world
value for professional operators and shooting enthusiasts alike.
“Naturally, we’re
thrilled to be recognized by such a prestigious publication as one of the top
hundred innovations of 2007,” said Chuck Kushell, CEO of TDI. “To us,
recognition in Popular Science substantiates what we’ve always believed
– that this new technology will truly revolutionize the way firearms are
manufactured and marketed, bringing the benefits of this technology broadly
into the civilian, military and law enforcement markets.”
The real
credit for the significant advances recognized by Popular Science,
Kushell said, should be attributed to TDI’s Virginia Beach-based technology
design, development and manufacturing department, Viking Works, composed of
some of the brightest, sharpest minds in the weapons technology industry.
Leveraging
state-of-the-art technology and a patented design approach, the KRISS Super V
System has been featured by such weapons industry media as the Discovery’s
Channel’s Super Weapons Series, Shooting Illustrated, American Rifleman,
and Armed Forces Journal while Guns and Weapons for Law Enforcement
Magazine called the firearm incorporating the KRISS Super V System “the Best
SMG Ever.”
TDI will feature its full array
of KRISS Super V System weapons at the NSSF Annual SHOT SHOW,
February 2-5 in Las Vegas.
