What We Believe
- In today's rapidly changing and challenging global defense market, TDI believes that the ways in which new technologies are brought to market can and must be drastically improved.
- TDI believes by bringing multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers and experienced defense professionals together that new visions and more effective solutions can be created, tested and deployed more quickly and cost effectively.
- Lastly, TDI believes its mandate is to provide the tools and solutions required to improve the defense capabilities of those personnel on the front lines while improving their war fighting effectiveness.
History
- TDI is incorporated and
located in the US and is part of the Gamma Applied Visions Group SA, an
innovative Swiss-based technology global technology development firm.
Management
Charles
J. Kushell IV
CEO and
Director
Chuck brings more than 30
years of global marketing, brand management, general executive management and
management consulting experience to his two years with TDI
and its parent company, Gamma Research and Technologies, SA.
His experience includes CEO and senior management positions in the retail,
financial services, technology, automotive and communications sectors for such
companies as IBM, Ogilvy &
Mather, Montgomery Ward, Hill Holliday, Data Marketing International and
Microsoft in the US
and Australia,
the UK,
Japan,
France
and Switzerland.
In addition, Chuck has spent considerable time in the management consulting
business specializing in bringing new products and technologies to market
through the design and implementation of integrated marketing communications
programs for such industries as computer hardware, healthcare, medical
technology, energy and defense/Homeland Security technologies.
He is an acknowledged thought-leader in the arena of branding and
customer profitability management and has written and spoken extensively on the
subject of helping companies identify and more productively attract, retain and
monetize the value of customer relationships.
Andrew E. Finn
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Andrew
is the Senior Vice President, Business Development of TDI,
Inc. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Andrew applied his
talents to the financial world while employed at various investment banks
including Merrill Lynch, Prudential Securities and Quarterdeck Investment
Partners (focusing solely on mergers and acquisitions in the aerospace and
defense community).
Andrews
unique talents and combined military and financial background are key
components in the successful growth of TDI
and the subsequent infusion of its technology into the US military. Andrew
also sits on the Board of Directors of Fraser Volpe, LLC., a company that
produces stabilized optical and electro-optical devices for the US military and
commercial markets.
Timothy C. Lindsay
Vice President, Director for Programs and Engineering
Tim served in
the US Army for 26 years including 10 years in command and staff positions in
missile and munitions logistics, and 16 years in research, development and
program management. His overseas tours included Germany, Japan and Bosnia. He is a
certified Level III acquisition
professional with assignments as Product Manager, Force Provider; Deputy
Director, UAV Joint Project Office and Commander/Director, Fire Support
Armaments Center,
ARDEC. He has a masters degree in material science from the University of Delaware
and a masters in national resource strategy from National Defense
University.
Following his Army service, Tim joined the defense consulting firm of Whitney,
Bradley and Brown, Inc., Vienna,
Virginia.
Joining the TDI in February 2005 Tims
engineering management experience and knowledge of the defense acquisition
system will be instrumental in driving TDIs
disruptive breakthrough technologies into the US Armed Forces and Homeland
Defense markets.
Francis J. Dougherty
Executive
Director, Government Relations
Mr. Dougherty served in the US Navy for 28 years during
which he made eleven extended deployments including two combat tours to
the Gulf of Tonkin in Navy fighter squadrons. He served as Executive
Officer of the USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) and commanded fighter
squadrons 14 and 101, USS Concord AFS-5 and Service Squadron 2 (5
ships). Ashore he held senior position on the Navys Pentagon staff.
Following his Navy service Mr. Dougherty joined the defense electronics
industry working for Magnavox Government & Electronic Industrial
Corporation, Hughes Aircraft Corporation, Raytheon and L-3
Communications.
Joining the GAMMA Group in September 2004 Mr. Doughertys wealth of
operational, command and business experience will introduce GAMMAS
disruptive breakthrough technologies to the US Armed Forces.
